Purple Haze (After Ted Goerschner)

This painting is an exercise from the Ted Goerschner, "Workshop Experience" textbook, which is a seven day intensive workshop in print. Ted Goerschner was a devoted California oil painter and teacher. 

I titled this canvas, "Purple Haze" while using Split Complementary colors.  I started with the color yellow and instead of using the complementary color, violet, I applied the Split Complementary colors, blue-violet and red-violet.
