The Romano

"The Romano" was painted from a plaster bust statue and even plaster can come to life with a little bit of paint and lots of determination to capture the essence and beauty of shadows and shapes with the help of the right studio lighting.  I chose to paint the profile of the statue...I love the strong statement profiles make.
